Wait – you’re how far along?

I thought a blog would be awesome, but apparently I’m pretty sucky at remembering to update it! I’ll get better though… I’m gonna claim “pregnancy brain” on this one!

Anyways – On Friday, December 2nd, I went back for a dating ultrasound. During the first doctor’s appointment and ultrasound I had before Thanksgiving, Baby B was moving around a ton so they couldn’t measure how long he/she was. When I went back on what should have been my 11th week and 4th day of pregnancy – they were able to get a good measurement of Babes’ length and turns out… I was only 10 weeks and 4 days!

There’s an up and a down to not being as far along as they originally thought. The down – I have an additional week of nausea… yay! The up – they saw a tiny protrusion on the baby’s belly that typically continues to develop and goes away during week 11. Since I was only in the 10th week of pregnancy the baby has a whole extra week to cook and grow. I’m scheduled for another ultrasound this Friday, December 16th, to make sure the protrusion has gone away and our little nugget is still strong and healthy. We were able to see little nug and the heart beat is super strong which is awesome so the doctor doesn’t suspect there will be any issues.

Sooo all of that being said, as of today I’m officially 12 weeks and 4 days!! Woohoo 🙂  According to a cool baby app I downloaded – Baby Burton is 2.1 inches, about the size of a plum, and weighs .49oz. I’m feeling much better, with nausea hitting me more in the mornings and evenings. Thankfully, I only need to eat every 3-4 hours now instead of every hour.
