Fun fact – I know almost every word/song from the Broadway show Wicked. I’ve seen it in NYC and the performance was unforgettable. There are times when I sit and dig deep looking for words to express exactly what I’m thinking and feeling but sometimes, you’ve gotta leave it to the pros. If you’ve never seen Wicked there’s a song… oh man is there a song. Every ounce of heart poured into that song is EXACTLY how I feel about every single person, large role or small role, we met in Washington.

I’ve heard it said,

We moved to WA in 2012 with wide eyes and open minds ready to explore the unknown. Little did we know that the next 6 years would rock our worlds in ways we never thought possible. We were hoping we could show people how well God loves us, by loving them the same way, by being great family to people. We didn’t realize that God would give us way better friends, community, family than we could have ever asked for. Isn’t that just like Him though, giving us something we didn’t even know was possible.

To our WA friends and family – we will never be the same. Ever. You are truly incredible people with loving hearts and souls to love Brice, Blayke, I in the way that you did. We never imagined life could be that good. You empowered us. You have given us the strength and courage to take what we’ve learned to a new place. It was so so bittersweet to leave you, but know your legacy lives on in us. We will never be the same. We miss you. We love you. We will see you again.
